The Issue

In an era of media fragmentation, brand proliferation and the explosion of content, marketing professionals are often overrun with a myriad of marketing channels and opportunities. Whether the company is large or small, developing a deep consumer connection is a major challenge for today’s marketers.

Format

Fully catered sit-down lunch followed by an interactive presentation..

The Presentation

In this highly competitive environment, Nike has mastered the marketing strategy of storytelling and become a model for companies that want to develop a deeper consumer connection. In order to distinguish their brands from those of their competitors, companies must continuously engage and involve their audience with stories that offer meaningful and memorable experiences. As a senior marketing professional with a strong advertising background, Nike’s Marketing Director, Tim Parkinson, will share Nike’s experiences on how storytelling has helped the brand connect with consumers in a profound and meaningful way.

In an interactive presentation, Parkinson will cover:

* How to objectively assess your storytelling marketing strategy and determine how to distinguish your company and brand from competitors;

* How to benefit from great stories that engage, involve and are fed by the consumer in order to maximise your marketing strategy; and

* How Nike has excelled in storytelling marketing – by finding the right stories, finding the right storytellers and finding the medium that will amplify the story - in order to position itself as a leader in Singapore and regionally.
