- to ensure all publications in the portfolio achieve the revenue and yield targets per issue      

- to ensure advertising sales and related revenue for the publications are maximised through effective sales performance and team management

- to initiate new revenue streams for the company

- to be responsible for setting the financial targets for the publications

- to deliver exemplary staff development and achieve year on year growth through the team

- to lead by example in professional value selling - managing an agreed number of accounts to demonstrate this and not at the determent of delivering the functions of the commercial director
