Sweden - While many calendars rely heavily on scantily-clad women, one male CEO has also decided to bare some skin for publicity's sake.
This comes after Irish airline, Ryanair, was criticized by a watchdog called Swedish Ethical Council against Sexism in Advertising (ERK) for the company's 2009 "Girls of Ryanair" calendar. "He [CEO Michael O'Leary] seems to think that naked girls and his air company have a connection," said the group's spokesperson.
However, CEO Michael O'Leary said none of the employees featured were in the nude, adding that they were all dressed in bikinis. "This group are hopelessly out of touch with reality -- next year we will commission a Girls in Burkas Calendar just for the politically correct thought police at the ERK," O'Leary said.
O'Leary went on to don a swimsuit to pose for publicity photos. Ryanair later issued a statement, saying that the photoshoot is an act of defending the right of "girls and boys to strip off for charity".
