Singapore - ESPN Star Sports (ESS) has bagged the broadcast rights for the first edition of the Champions League Twenty20, to start from 3 December in India.

The deal covers multi-platform rights across television, internet and mobile in Australia, Middle East, North Africa and North America.

The partnership follows since ESS was awarded the exclusive 10-year global commercial rights to the Champions League Twenty20 this September. The partners include Australia's Network Ten, USA's Willow TV and Arab Digital Distribution, the pay TV platform management company in the Middle East and North Africa.

"We are committed to produce, present and distribute this global property in the most entertaining and engaging manner to audiences around the world setting new benchmarks for cricket broadcasting. In addition to these partnerships, we will be announcing deals in other principle markets in the next few days," ESS managing director Manu Sawhney, said.
