Singapore - Ex-Starcom Mediavest Asia Pacific CEO D. Sriram has launched his own venture - Promeoh - a new promotions directory service.

Currently still in beta, Promeoh's business offering is in listing the deals and offers from different brands and retailers. By its launch on 10 December it will have 122 categories and 3,000 promotions listed on its website.

Promeoh has plans to go regional and move beyond the online realm, heading to other platforms like having call-centres, mobile search or GPS listings. Currently it has a website for people to do research - a tool for them to enhance their shopping experience by providing information online on the deals available at different retailers and brands. Thus it hopes to push online consumer-researches to retail outlets to make their purchases.

Promeoh's revenue model would be to get all brands and retailers pay to get listed after its launch, with each category getting one premium vendor, providing exclusivity. It differs from other directory listings as its model is purely business to consumer. There are no transactions involved as it just provides a listings service. Promeoh also does not make money through banner ads.

It provides tracking tools for its partners as a result this provides marketers a new platform to market and manage promotions more scientifically as opposed to them splashing promotional ads on print and online. Sriram revealed that Promeoh started meeting up with potential partners about 10 days ago, and he is currently in talks with several brands and retailers.

All offers are sourced by Promeoh's team currently and it has currently 1800 listings on its beta website.
