AdFest braces for Made In Asia entries

Regional - Entries for the 2009 Asia Pacific Advertising Festival (AdFest) are now open for submissions at the festival's adfest.com website.

Entries for next year's festival, which takes place again in Pattaya, Thailand in March, must have commercially launched between 1 January 2008 and 31 December 2008 to be eligible to win a Lotus Award. AdFest 2009 Awards will include 13 different categories such as Film, Press, Poster, Outdoor, Radio, Cyber, Direct, Design, Print Craft, Film Craft, New Director, 360 and INNOVA.

In September, AdFest announced "Made In Asia" as its theme for next year's event, which will also double as the festival's permanent tagline. Creative heavyweights such as BBH's chairman and worldwide creative director, Sir John Hegarty and Leo Burnett's global chief creative officer, Mark Tutssel have already agreed to join as AdFest 2009 jury presidents.

Hegarty who is Jury President of Film and Radio, and Tutssel who is Jury President of the Press, Poster and Print Craft Lotus Awards, will be joined by Prasoon Pandey who has agreed to be Jury President for Film Craft Lotus, New Director Lotus and Fabulous Four. Pandey is the founder of Corcoise Films, and is listed in Advertising Age's ranking of Top 100 advertising directors in the world.
