Malaysia – M&C Saatchi Malaysia adds Telekom Malaysia International (TMI) to its portfolio in its biggest win of the year after a four-way pitch.

The three other agencies which participated in the pitch were McCann Erickson, DraftFCB and Low.

Datin Lara Hussein, managing director noted TMI as an important win, while noting the competition.

M&C Saatchi's brief was multi-dimensional but the agency kept to its guiding principle of keeping everything simple, Lara said, referring to agency’s mantra of "brutal simplicity of thought".

“We are elated that our strategic and creative initiatives were deemed the best in this pitch but what makes this account so special is the challenge it represents as a new brand in an international market,” she said.

TMI is just one of many wins this year for M&C and they include Time Engineering, Boh Tea, Spritzer and Mandarin Oriental.

TMI’s has a presence in ten countries across Asia with its subsidiaries operating in mobile telecommunication markets. The network was also voted M&C Saatchi Agency of the Year.

Other M&C Saatchi clients include Celcom (a TM subsidiary), Tourism Malaysia, Alliance Bank, Sepang F1 Circuit, Nike, Petra Group and Suria KLCC.
