DraftFCB's Simons heads to the Big Apple
Previously, Simons doubled up as ECD and managing director of DraftFCB Sydney, as well as his regional APAC position.
In a career span of over two decades, of which 10 years have been with DraftFCB Sydney, the Australian has worked with agencies like D'Arcy, Y&R and Wieden & Kennedy among others.
"Simons has had great success working with clients like SC Johnson and on brands like Oreo. He is the right choice to build upon the strong creative foundation already in place in New York," Jonathan Harries, worldwide chief creative officer of DraftFCB, said in a statement.
According to overseas reports, DraftFCB Sydney senior copywriter Simon Edwards has been promoted to CD to replace Simons. Director of account service Harry Preston and head of strategic service Jonny Samengo have take over management duties in the Sydney office.
