Yes TV's ASN is on its way

Hong Kong - Independent media company Yes TV is expected to sign a deal with a local TV distributor to launch its All Sports Network channel by the end of the year.

The network distributor will be announced by the end of this year once the decision is finalised.

The group said both pay and terrestrial TV distributors will be considered as potential partners. It will compare and evaluate their offers and network performances based on viewership, rating and investment in the productions.

ASN will cover North American sporting brands such as the National Football League, National Hockey League and NCA.

A portion of the sports contents on ASN will be broadcasted in HD format. The group added HD and digital TVs have become a preferable platform to TV viewers and sports fans.

Goal TV 1 and 2, which were launched on TVB Pay Vision in 2004, are the soccer channels that broadcast games of four European football clubs including Manchester United, Chelsea, Liverpool Barcelona and FC Bayern Munich.
