Sennheiser softly beats pitch drum, hires agency
Singapore - Sennheiser Consumer Electronics has reduced incumbent agency Grey's responsibilities by calling for a global pitch to hire an agency to solely market its headphone products.
The company's marketing communications manager Tommy Foo confirmed a global pitch is underway and being run out of Singapore. Foo declined to comment on when the appointment is expected to be made. Sennheiser Consumer Electronics is in charge of the global product development and R&D arm of parent company Sennheiser Worldwide.
Sennheiser Asia, a different department which handles the sales and marketing in the APAC region, ran a Xodbox-created campaign targeting youths this year. It shared with Marketing that it has appointed an agency, which it refused to name, to handle its latest creative appearing on bus wraps before Christmas this year as a strategy to reach out to Christmas shoppers.
The appointed agency will also help out with Sennheiser's vision, point of sale materials as well as a guide template.
"To ensure that we work with the right creative we usually work on a flexible or project basis. We rarely appoint retainer clients, and we prefer to work with agencies with each of their differing strengths in different areas," Martin Low, Sennheiser's VP of marketing, said.
