Singapore – Universal McCann has appointed Simon Kemp from Starcom MediaVest to a regional communications planning role.
Kemp, who replaces Prashant Kumar who was promoted to CEO of Universal McCann Malaysia, was previously director of consumer context planning at Starcom and worked with clients such as Singapore Tourism Board, Diageo and Bayer. Before that he a consultant with marketing consultancy Ascension, and worked for Accenture in the UK.
Jeff Cressall, Universal McCann Asia Pacific president, said communications planning plays “a pivotal role in the creation of successful business outcomes for our clients”.
“We have an outstanding professional in Simon to lead this discipline in the region and I am delighted he has joined us,” he said.
