Singapore – Low-cost airline Jetstar Asia has handed its in-flight magazine publishing contract to Ink Publishing and increased the frequency of the title from a quarterly to a bi-monthly.

The Jetstar Asia magazine was previously published by Spudnik but from 1 December Ink will take over. Ink already publishes the Jetstar magazine for the airline’s Australian parent company.

Raphael Saw, Jetstar Asia’s head of commercial, said Ink Publishing won the contract “because of the company’s ongoing success in launching inventive, commercially-attractive in-flight publications”.

“Our magazine aims at providing readers with superior content and notable features on Jetstar Asia’s destinations,” he said.

Gerry Ricketts, Ink Singapore managing director, said, "We are very excited to be publishing for Jetstar Asia. The fact that Jetstar Asia chose Ink to upgrade their magazine is evidence of our company’s capabilities in Asia and our leading position in in-flight publishing around the world. For advertisers the magazine provides a unique channel to communicate to an informed, intelligent reader with a thirst for travel on leisure and business throughout the Asia Pacific region.”
