Marketer takes top job at Visa in Malaysia

Malaysia – Eight years into his career at Visa, Stuart Tomlinson was recently appointed to take on the country manager position in Malaysia.

He will be responsible for all aspects of Visa’s business in the market including building alliances with banks, government agencies, regulators and merchants to ensure Visa’s strategic development in business.

Tomlinson, who has experience as regional marketing manager for Southeast Asia, was also country manager for Vietnam, Cambodia and Laos and regional director for processing solutions where he was tasked to focus on developing and growing Visa Asia-Pacific’s transaction processing capabilities.

Tomlinson has had his fair share in marketing, particularly when he took on the marketing manager role for various international beverage companies for three years, more than six years with ASB Bank, New Zealand where he held a number of card, marketing and business management positions and another two years in American Express’ marketing and acquisition department.
