Singapore - Star Cruises has shifted its local media account from incumbent outfit OMD to ZenithOptimedia.
According to sources, ZenithOptimedia will be responsible for ATL media planning and will be roped in for a period of two years initially. OMD had handled the Star Cruises business for the past three years.
"Star Cruises is a strong local brand and we are happy to be associated with it. We look forward to further strengthening the brand," Raymond Kam, grpup director of ZenithOptimedia, Singapore said.
Star Cruises would not give more information at the moment, saying details are yet to be worked out. OMD was unavailable for comment.
Update:OMD Singapore MD, Lisa Ong issued a statement after Marketing went to press, saying, "It was a mutual and amicable parting. We've had a good working relationship with Star Cruises and we wish them all the best."
