Hong Kong - CSL has announced that it will continue its relationship with Leo Burnett, despite the agency resigning the business four months ago.
The reappointment of the agency coincides with the resignation of CSL chief marketing officer Christina Teo.
Teo confirmed she had resigned from the mobile network group, which owns the One2Free brand, but declined to comment on industry speculation that the company had called off the pitch just two days out from presentation.
Industry sources told Marketing CSL had invited agencies to pitch for the business but it was called off after Teo tendered her resignation, which led to Leo Burnett's decision to again partner with the company.
In a statement CSL CEO Tarek Robbiati said Leo Burnett has been a "valued partner" and "we are pleased to continue our relationship with them."
In the same statement Eddie Booth, Leo Burnett chairman for Greater China said the agency had served as CSL's agency-of-record for the past five years.
"We look forward to creating more innovative campaigns to contribute to their business growth."
