HOT: www.howcast.com
(4 stars)
If you don't want to read 100 pages of instruction manual, Howcast is definitely an alternative option that you can find something that is very practical and presented in a humorous way. You can learn as pragmatic as "How to make a metal detector" or interesting thing such as "How to make your first Kiss Memorable". The users interface is very user friendly and would only take you a second to learn how to use it. Its Step by Step tutor index really make thing much easier to understand. User can even suggest the kind of topic that they would like to see, the Howcast's Directors will then make it for you accordingly. Each video is rated - often by thousands of members - so you won't waste bandwidth on the boring ones.
NOT: www.im.tv
(2 stars)
Im.tv is one of the top video sites in Taiwan, which carries a lot of licensed content. The site is very aggressive in trying aggregating all types of content onto one site and become more like a portal, rather than just a video platform, which it used to be. While there is nothing wrong with having a lot of different content all aggregated into the one site, if im.tv can try to "blend-in" those video and text content nicely and neatly would really help the users a lot.
