Role description:
The client, a Fortune 500 industrial supply company based in the States, is setting up a procurement team in the region.
Reporting to the director of pverseas procurement, the Singapore based regional procurement manager will help to set up and manage a team of 8-10 procurement managers.
The team is spread across Asia-Pacific locations so the client is looking for an independent individual who is capable of managing the team remotely but able to establish strong relationship in spite of. The candidate will also be the point of escalation for the team so strong problem solving and decision making skills is necessary.
Requirements:
He/she should have at least 7 years of managerial or supervisory experiences with procurement background and familiar with manufacturing operations. The candidate will also need to be commercially astute and be able to travel up to 40%.
