F1 tops Olympics

Singapore – The first F1 night race in Singapore has proved a hit with local TV viewers, out-rating the opening ceremony of the Beijing Olympic Games.
The race, held last night, was broadcast on MediaCorp’s Channel 5 and is now the highest-rating show this year to date, taking the top position from the Olympics opening ceremony. The F1 receiving ratings of 780,000 viewers aged four and above, compared to the opening ceremony’s 765,000.
The three days of F1 coverage generated ratings of 1.96 million viewers in total.
