UK - Wall Street employees are not the only ones to bear the brunt of the financial meltdown, as even Hugh Hefner, founder of Playboy magazine, has been told to cut staff numbers as well.
According to a Reuters report, Hefner has been told to lay off employees from his Los Angeles and New York offices as profits from the magazine empire has dwindled.
The company's shares have plummeted from £6.20 (S$16.00) to £1.55 (S$4.00).
However, the company's spokesperson has denied these rumours, saying: "It is our policy not to comment on corporate matters such as employee issues."
