Hong Kong - BBC Magazines last night launched its 10th Asia Pacific edition of motoring magazine Top Gear, which in Hong Kong will be published under license by the One Media Group.
The Hong Kong edition takes the number of Top Gear editions around Asia to 10, which includes Malaysia, Australia, Thailand, Indonesia and Korea.
Ong Chun Leong, BBC Magazines licensing manager for Asia Pacific, said the BBC is considering a Taiwan launch, but concrete plans have not been set.
"Top Gear is the number one motoring magazine in the UK and I think that is reflected in Asia," Ong said.
"The way it's written, it's more than just a motoring magazine. It has lifestly and entertainment which gives it a unique edge. That's something competing titles lack," he added.
Advertisers in the first issue of Top Gear Hong Kong include auto groups Porsche, BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Audi as well as fashion and accessory brands.
One Media Group, which publishes Top Gear in China, will print the local monthly edition in Chinese.
