DDB hires Hertel as integrated solutions MD
Hong Kong – DDB Group in Hong Kong has brought Gina Hertel on board as its managing director of integrated solutions.
Officially starting duties on Oct 1, Hertel has been tasked to lead and drive integrated strategic initiatives and solutions for Tribal DDB and Rapp Hong Kong.
Richard Thomas, president and chief executive officer of DDB Group Hong Kong said: “Hertel has the business acumen, marketing expertise and local market experience that we see as crucial in helping us take our business forward.”
Attesting strong belief in her understanding of digital and data driven marketing, Thomas said these disciplines will be integral for DDB’s success as a group.
“We’re very excited about Hertel joining our team and I am confident she will help develop excellent client solutions while leading the business in core areas of growth,” he added.
Hertel spent nearly six years managing the international and regional marketing for Microsoft and MSN over four continents as the regional director of marketing in Asia Pacific, Greater China and Japan.
She was responsible for brand launch and development and implementation of communications strategy across eight markets.
She was managing director for Immedient in North America where her clients included Kenneth Cole, Aèropostale, and L’Oreal and is the former CEO and founder of Verge – a Hong Kong-based strategic marketing consultancy.
