Tong returns to Euro China

Beijing - Euro RSCG China has nabbed Fred Tong, regional executive creative director for Hakuhodo China, for a newly created role as chief creative officer.

Tong (pictured) will oversee the creative department in Beijing, work across existing clients and assist in new business ventures. He will be supported by ECD Frank Chang and group CD John Zhang.

Richard Tan, CEO for Euro RSCG China, said hiring Tong is part of an effort to grow Euro's "competitiveness in the market."

Tan added that Tong will take on a crucial strategic role in the agency, strengthening the network and providing creative solutions to clients.

Tong has been working in China for more than eight years, working with agencies like Hakuhodo China, Young & Rubicam, TBWA/Hakuhodo Shanghai and Bates.

Tong also worked in Euro RSCG in the Hong Kong office from 1994 to 2000 as ECD and then at the Shanghai office from 2002 to 2004.
