Shanghai - Interbrand has promoted Asia-Pacific strategy director Jonathan Chajet (pictured) to a newly created position as managing director of its China operations.
Interbrand China CEO Frank Chen explained Chajet's promotion will boost the consultancy's position in the market, which has been operating in China for the past seven years.
Interbrand has forged strong relationships with some of the most respected Chinese and MNC brands such as Vanke, Huawei, China Merchants, Union Pay, Bosera, Founder, Wrigley, Intel, Microsoft, Samsung and Holiday Inn.
He added the agency's business has also grown rapidly in China and is expanding its network of offices beyond Shanghai to Guangzhou and Beijing to better service its clients.
Chajet joined Interbrand in 2006 as Asia Pacific strategy director where he specialised in key areas including brand strategy, market research and multimedia communications.
He has helped to create, manage and build value for clients from Samsung, Intel, Wrigley to American Standard.
Before Interbrand, Chajet was executive director, brand strategy for Siegel and Gale and a senior associate at Mercer management consulting. He started his career in advertising at JWT, Raap Collins and The Arnell Group.
