ESS restructures sales

Regional- ESPN STAR Sports (ESS) has restructured its sales department with the promotion of Adam Zecha to the newly-created position of executive vice president, head of sales, SE Asia.

The promotion entails an expanded portfolio for Zecha that now includes advertising sales and the event management group. Zecha, who joined ESS in 1996 and was part of the launch team of the ESS joint venture, was formerly SVP for affiliate and multimedia sales.

His promotion marks a series of changes at ESS, which had recently appointed Mike Kerr as VP of SE Asia for affiliate and multimedia sales.

Manu Sawhney, MD of ESS, said Zecha has played a "very important role to strengthen our position as the number one sports broadcaster in SE Asia". 

"He has been able to create a very strong foundation for our affiliate and multimedia sales business," Sawhney said.
