Online competitive intelligence service Hitwise has launched Search Intelligence V3.1, a service incorporating a range of new search term analysis features to make it easier for search marketers to maximise their campaigns by uncovering new terms proven to drive traffic to specific competitors, thus helping marketers uncover ‘gaps' in their search campaigns and realise more revenue opportunities.

"As more marketers use search engine optimisation and paid search campaigns to increase qualified traffic to their websites, having search term research that truly uncovers the ‘gems' is invaluable," said Gavin Appel, SVP Search Solutions at Hitwise. "These new, advanced search term analysis tools are another way we can help marketers understand the different ways their customers use search and enable them to maximise their search marketing ROI."

The new tools within the service include search term analyses which compare a marketer's search term portfolio to that of their industry, search terms to custom industry categories where marketers can create customised lists of websites to track, and search terms to sub-directories where marketers can determine which terms have driven traffic to specific sections of websites.
