Hong Kong - Carat Hong Kong has nabbed Roid Sin, divisional general manager for JCDecaux Transport's digital vision company, as general manager to replace Pauline Chu.
In his role, Sin will take on the broad responsibilities of all local clients from nurturing, developing, growing and extending all client relationships across the agency to enhancing the strategic offering to clients across all media, including digital.
He will also be the key contact for strengthening relationships with media owners as well as be heavily involved in new business development, reporting directly to William Swayne, managing director for Carat Hong Kong.
"He (Sin) has over 20 years of experience in the Hong Kong media business on the agency as well as media owner side. As we continue to drive our strategic planning capabilities and excellent client service, Roid fits the bill perfectly with his strong client management background," Swayne said.
Sin was marketing director at JCDecaux Pearl & Dean before being promoted in a newly created role in March this year as divisional general manager to head up its digital vision company overseeing sales of the plasma TV network and leading his team in the development of new digital products in MTR.
Meanwhile, Teresa Fung, general manager for JCDecaux is departing the OOH outfit at the end of the month for personal reasons.
Stephen Wong, CEO for JCDecaux said he will become more involved in the Hong Kong business in the interim with the void left vacant by Sin and Fung.
He added that he is actively recruiting candidates and isĀ in the screening process at the moment.
