Hong Kong- Ocean Park is getting spooky with new entertainment concepts and creative ads for its 8th annual Halloween Bash to intensify local ghostly night scene.
Ad agency Metta, founded early this year, was tasked in June to handle the campaign while Mediacom and Weber Shandwick managing all media and PR.
The campaign featuring print ads, banner and TVC will go from September to the end of October.
In an exclusive interview with Marketing, events and entertainment director Todd Hougland, said the group is adding Chinese cultural elements that are relevant to the market to develop its own Halloween tradition so that locales know what they are talking about.
With content tailored for the young adult demographic, Ocean Park said it is setting a new standard for scary fun, filling the park with over 300 ghosts and zombies, eight haunted houses inspired by frightful local tales, and setting 40 performances and three scare zones.
"The Halloween success comes from the ideas that are different from anything else in the market," Hougland said.
