STG CEO resigns

Australia - Staging Connections Group (STG) CEO, Michael Gardner has resigned, and COO Ben Ashton has assumed the role of acting CEO until a permanent appointment is made.

The news was announced by the Gorup's chairman, John Churchill who thanked Gardner for his commitment to the business over the past four years saying during his tenure the business transitioned from an Australian digital media services business to a global events business with operations in eight countries.

Acting CEO, Ashton added his immediate focus was on ensuring a smooth transition for the business, its people and all stakeholders.

"I am delighted to be offered the opportunity to lead Staging Connections Group. There is no question that we have had some challenges in FY08, but I am very confident that we can put all of these issues quickly behind us as we focus on consolidating the business in FY09," he said.

STG will release its FY08 results on Friday, 29 August 2008.
