FT dips into custom publishing with Inspire
Hong Kong - The Financial Times (FT) has launched Inspire, a single issue stand-alone magazine created for MasterCard to coincide with the MasterCard Luxury Week in Hong Kong beginning today.
Inspire was distributed with the FT Weekend issue in Asia on Saturday 23 August.
"Inspire is one of a series of custom publishing projects we plan to roll out this year," said Angela Mackay, executive director, head of Asia Pacific for Financial Times.
"We are delighted to work with MasterCard to create a stylish product to mark luxury week in Hong Kong."
The glossy magazine features international fashion and luxury brands, looking at upcoming trends, leading personalities and what's hot this winter. Articles include profiles of Nathan Jenden and Fiona Kotur Marin as well as autumn picks from Asia's top fashion directors, merchandisers and brand insiders like Sarah Rutson, fashion director for Lane Crawford and Joanne Ooi, creative director for Shanghai Tang.
Claire Melwani from FT's special projects division headed Inspire.
The FT's special projects division developed the title and said more custom publishing projects would be on the cards in the future.
