WPP moves on in-game ad company

Shanghai - WPP has taken a minority 12.8% stake in Chinese in-game advertising group IGA Limited, the parent company of InGame Ad Interactive Technology.
WPP now holds 55% of IGA Limited stock, with Revolution Ventures holding the remaining 45%.
InGame Ad, based in Shanghai, describes itself as a “leading independent dynamic in-game advertising network in China”, which offers clients the opportunity to advertise in online games, including mobile games.
In a statement, WPP said the move forms part of its strategy of developing its business in China.
The news comes as WPP reports 17% revenue growth in China in the first half of 2008, with China leading the charge as one of the global holding groups top performing markets.
