Singapore - MTV continues its search for user-generated MTV IDs by partnering Eyeka APAC, an online community of 30,000 creative talents - opening new opportunities for the portal's pool of members.
MTV Asia previously worked with students taking part in the Crowbar Awards to participate in the channel-indent creation challenge.
"At MTV Asia Networks, we are greatly excited about allowing our audience to actively engage with our brand. The idea is free expression and to tap into the great creativity of the talent pool in Asia. MTV + Me really is about creating opportunities for our audience to feel ownership of the MTV brand," MTV's CD for on-air promotions Andrew Lo said.
Eyeka is a digital marketplace that connects brands with creative talents like semi-pro to professional photographers, graphic designers, video makers and animators. It runs online participative campaigns and digital content creation. It wants to get more brands to embrace New Media and Web 2.0 by providing quality content while maintaining brand control via moderation tools and a legal framework.
"The challenge for brands today is how they renew dialogue and engage with their customers and new media; bottom-up and contributive marketing is the future for brands. Hence we enable brands to strengthen ties with their consumers," said Eyeka APAC's CEO, Alexandre Olmedo.
Submission of entries is from 25 August to 30 November 2008. The music channel will broadcast the best quality submissions, with no limitations to the number of selected works, on the MTV Asia channel.
