Hong Kong - BusinessWeek is creating an online social network website called The Business Exchange, catering to business people and online users.

The website will allow users to create business topics, edit and aggregate content from the internet and connect with business-focused users on business topics. Users can add stories they have either read or written for others to access and identify a network of like-minded business professionals.

The site, however is still under development, but will soon launch around the world.

Published by the McGraw-Hill Companies, BusinessWeek magazine experienced an 18% drop in advertising pages for 2007 in the global edition, compared to 2006.

The group said in last year's annual report the online version has performed well, reporting an increase in advertising and average monthly unique visitors.
