Singapore - McCann Erickson Singapore's GM Vishal Mehta will join DDB Singapore as VP of client services in the coming months.

In this newly created role, Mehta will focus on client management and capitalise on business opportunities for the agency's growth. He will report to DDB Singapore president and CEO David Tang. McCann Worldgroup regional director for SE Asia and CEO for Singapore and Thailand, Mark Ingrouille, said a "like-for-like replacement" for Mehta would not be sought. "We're expanding very rapidly and we're looking at a complete restructure of our business," he said.

At DDB, Mehta will also provide leadership support for Rapp Collins and DDB Health.

"We are always keen on brains and muscles to add to our agency, particularly a planner-cum-client leadership talent like Vishal. He's a thinker-doer with a down-to-earth personality, and every bit an opportunist on solid, creative work - which is what we believe in. DDB will suit his style; he will be amongst equals in our senior team. It will allow me to have more time for key clients, and do more interesting stuff with this agency," Tang said.
