Singapore - The successful candidate will drive a team of logistics professionals and handle continuously changing parameters from global locations that must be analysed, assessed objectively and factored into the decision-making to ensure goods are delivered on time and to the correct location.

Role description:

-Under broad direction, guides a team of logistics professionals through the process of determining the most appropriate logistics channels to utilise.
-Must handle continuously changing parameters from global locations that must be analysed, assessed objectively and factored into the decision-making to ensure goods are delivered on time and to the correct location.
-Interacts with external suppliers of services, and internal customers from product service line (PSL) VP to country VP and operations managers.

Requirements:

-The ability to understand global changes and to adapt with analysis is a prerequisite.
-Requires commercial acumen, ability to negotiate new agreements as well as manage the service providers whose costs to the company are significant, but also to ensure continuity of supply.
-Completion of an undergraduate degree in Business or Logistics or Engineering is required.
-Minimum of 10 years of experience in logistics with international movement which includes experience in logistics movement both ocean and air with hazardous materials, management of teams performing these functions and management experience.
-Must have international movement knowledge and experience
-Management experience of a team of international movement personnel, International Air Transport Association (IATA) Regulations, IATA Hazmat regulations, dangerous goods shipping, commercial law principles, project management, financial management for non-financial managers, SAP purchase-to-pay processes, SAP movement processes, coaching and mentoring.
-General management knowledge, strong analytical skills, effective written and oral communication skills, global perspectives, business acumen, negotiation and concluding deal skills, strategic thinking and depth of understanding.
