Star makes VP of advertising sales hire

Japan - Star has appointment Hiromu Iwamoto as VP of advertising sales, Japan.

He reports to Star's SVP, advertising sales, Jonathan Ellis, and oversees advertising sales activities for the company's regional office in Tokyo.

"In his role with us, he will work closely with many of our Japan-based clients, helping them to reach the hundreds of millions of devoted Star viewers across the region," Ellis says.

Prior to joining Star, he served as deputy director, marketing division and GM, ad sales department for Jupiter TV which is a multi channel pay-TV broadcaster based in Tokyo. Before that, he worked with Publicis Japan as director of client service.
