Mumbai - Contract India has named Umesh Shrikhande as its new chief executive, filling the gap left by CEO Jagdip Bakshi's appointment to run the global Unilever business.
Shrikhande will work closely with Ravi Deshpande who, following Bakshi's departure, was recently promoted to chairman and chief creative officer. Shrikhande will be based in Mumbai, and report to JWT President, Michael Maedel.
"Umesh is respected for his unrelenting focus on creating a humane and value based organisational culture at Contract, and it is clear that his effort has contributed significantly to the recent successes of the agency," Maedel said.
