Hong Kong- PCCW is fueling the popularity of its Yellow Pages business through a series of marketing campaigns highlighting the new map service on its online platform.
Internet Yellow Pages' market-wide campaign will appear in print ads, online banners, interactive games, on buses, outdoor, and on Facebook.
The group has handed its creative to a new agency called Blood Visual Communication Design Studio.
Maxus is handling the campaign's traditional media, while Mindshare is responsible for its interactive.
The new map service provided by Lands Department will enable users to pinpoint a company's physical and virtual location, with information such as business nature, company homepage, contact details, opening hours and exact location.
PCCW's Yellow Pages has more than 35 million monthly page views and 710,000 users per month. It reports that 36% of its users has made purchases through the web service.
The print version of Yellow Pages generated some HK$1.5 billion in sales for advertisers in 2007, according to independent market research by Synovate.
