Hong Kong - Greg Sutcliff, ECD of Team HSBC, and creative director Alvin Lin are leaving JWT at the end of this month, with Lin taking a regional CD role at Hakuhodo in September.

Desmond So, CEO for JWT Hong Kong said the agency's other ECD Steven Lee will take up the creative management role for the HSBC business.

So said Lee used to look after the HSBC business for two years in his previous position as group creative director.

"Thus, he is not a stranger to the client," he said.

So added that new senior creatives will join the agency in the coming month.

Lin joins Hakuhodo in September in a newly created role as regional CD tasked with new and existing businesses between the China and Hong Kong networks. He reports to both executive marketing director Akinori Toma and MD Yutaka Shimizu.

Lin said of Sutcliff's departure: "Working with Greg is like playing alongside with Eric Cantona. You know in any run it's going to be spectacular. Sadly enough that he's leaving and it's not the same without the captain in the team."
