Hong Kong - UPS has set up Hong Kong's first interactive message display and "out-of-the-box" 3D ads in major MTR stations for the fourth phase of its UPS Olympics marketing campaign. McCann Erickson and Ogilvy are handling the account's creative and PR, respectively.
The campaign themed as "Venue Logistics" describes how UPS synchronizes with BOCOG in meeting the logistics needs of the Olympics.
With the message display, commuters can send their wishes and messages - which will be displayed "live" on the station's new big screen - to the Olympic teams. "The interactive message display provides a unique opportunity for Hong Kongers to show their passion and support for the Games," KK Leung, MD of UPS Hong Kong and Macau, said.
As part of the "out-of-the-box" campaign, an ad featuring a cardboard cutout of UPS employees holding a 3D basketball hoop is displayed at various MTR stations. Four print and TV ads are also being aired in various outdoor high-traffic locations across Hong Kong including Airport Express Hong Kong station, Causeway Bay MTR station, Central.
