Malaysia - Unilever's Clear Shampoo has launched a Crush-created public relations campaign on Facebook in a bid to communicate the secrets to beating dandruff.
The 'Clear United' group encouraged members to participate in sharing their experiences and understanding the cause of dandruff while controlling the problem. 'Clear United' currently has over 300 members.
The campaign also included guerilla elements at the screening of the Champions League finals at popular spots in KL and Selangor, where miniature-sized Clear products were distributed by brand representatives who were holding placards which read 'Clear-1 Dandruff-0'. The campaign runs until September.
"Crush has managed to turn dandruff-taboo around. The out-of-the-box approach has made the younger crowd unafraid to talk about dandruff," Clear shampoo brand manager, Quah Seng Khie said.
