Bizarre HR: Discrimination against bald workers?

Canada – A waitress was told to go home and play with her kids for the rest of the summer after she turned up to work bald.

According to the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC), the waitress shaved off her long auburn hair for the charity Cops for Cancers and after informing her employer of her plans. The restaurant owner refuted her account, saying that it never happened and issued a statement that “this is an employer-employee matter and such matters are not to be dealt with in the public,” according to the CBC report.

However, it may become a more public matter if she sues. The waitress hasn't decided if she is going to sue, but maintains that she did not do anything wrong and that her lack of hair did not prevent her from performing her duties as a waitress.
