Shanghai - Mindshare has promoted Andrew Carter, national tactical planning director to MD of its Shanghai office come August, replacing Michelle Ko, who departs for a short sabbatical before relocating to Hong Kong after 10 years working at the agency.
Carter reports directly into Andrew Meaden, CEO for Mindshare China.
As national tactical planning director, Meaden said Carter has successfully led his team and is also very involved in the areas of new media such as IPTV, "which are a key part of our future as a diversified communications company".
Carter has written a report on China's DTV market recently assessing what the future holds for the medium and its implications on advertisers. The report intends to educate and provide key insights to enable marketers to fully understand the impact of digital technology growth in future campaigns.
"I have been very impressed with his work rate, dynamic interest in new media and personable, approachable manner. Andrew is an ideal person to lead our Shanghai office through the period of transformation that we will now be undergoing with our new China vision and global reorganisation", Meaden added.
