Ogilvy Mumbai president joins Star

India - Star India has appointed J C Giri, previously president of Ogilvy Mumbai, to EVP and GM of its regional channels.

"We are happy to have Giri on board with us at Star. He takes charge of our planned portfolio of regional channels in Bengali, Gujarati and Marathi. He will be responsible for the timely and successful launches of these channels, in line with the high standards of any new launch from the Star stable," Uday Shankar, CEO of Star India, said.
