Singapore - StarHub has appointed former director of programming at Astro All Asia Networks's Kathleen Syron to take on the new position of head of content from September.
The new role is the final piece of the StarHub jigsaw puzzle to fill the void left by former SVP of content and marketing
Tham Loke Keng, who left in December 2007. StarHub has since split her role, promoting Iris Wee to head of marketing, and has now tasked Syron to lead its content strategy across all three of its platforms - pay TV, mobile and online.
"Syron brings with her an impressive wealth of international experience in content management. Content acquisition and management, particularly for digital media assets, are becoming even more critical as convergence evolves towards anytime anywhere access to audio and video content," said StarHub’s CEO Terry Clontz.
Her previous experience includes working at TeleCommunications Internation as GM for APAC and Sony Pictures Entertainment/Columbia Tri-Star International Television in London as VP for channel operations.
