Hans takes over planning role at BBDO China

Shanghai - BBDO China has appointed Hans Lopez-Vito, former VP and head of strategic planning at McCann Worldgroup, Philippines, to replace Harjot Singh as the new strategic planning director for the Shanghai office.

Lopez-Vito will be responsible for strategic planning for the agency's clients which include Pepsi, Procter & Gamble, Johnson & Johnson, ICI, FedEx and Visa. He reports directly into Carol Potter, CEO for BBDO China.

Lopez-Vito said China is undergoing a time of enduring economic and societal change, he believes brands that can help Chinese consumers navigate around and make the most out of the profound changes happening in their daily lives today have that rare chance of becoming true cultural icons.

Lopez-Vito has more than 14 years of experience in consumer insight and strategy. He spent the last eight years at McCann Worldgroup, Philippines forming strategies for clients such as Coca-Cola, Nestle, Unilever, San Miguel Beer and Globe Telecom.

Before McCann, he worked in market research at The Coca-Cola Company for its Philippines division and prior to that, spent six years working at TNS.
