Cheil grabs another award for Homeplus

Korea - Cheil Worldwide has won a silver and bronze award at the New York Festival International Advertising Awards, for the VIPS TV Coupon campaign and Samsung Tesco's Homeplus campaign respectively.

For Cheil's TV coupon campaign for Korean-owned restaurant VIPS, participants were encouraged to take pictures of VIPS commercials aired on TV, online or point-of-purchase using mobile phones and cameras. In return, they were offered gifts when they brought the photographs to the restaurant outlet.

The Homeplus campaign for Samsung Tesco with its large product showcase at Jamsil subway station in Seoul grabbed its third award this year including its gold accolade at One Show, and a bronze award at the recent Cannes Lions.

The campaign generated 550% sales-through for its retail sales figures.
