Motorola promotes Chapman-Banks
Singapore - Motorola's VP of marketing for APAC, Ian Chapman-Banks has been promoted to the role of corporate VP and GM for Asia responsible for the full business function of Mobile Devices.
He will relocate to Singapore to lead the regional Asia team based from there, and will have full business P&L responsibility for the region as well as lead the Go-To-Market sales and marketing team for the new Asia region. Motorola has changed its area demarcations and expanded the regional geographies. Asia will now include both SE Asia and SW Asia, including the markets in the India sub-continent, Japan, Korea, Australia and New Zealand.
According to a company spokesperson, Chapman-Banks' VP of marketing for APAC position is currently open and will be subject to its Global Leadsership Succession Program to identify potential candidates.
