Darizi.com elevates wedding to luxury level
Hong Kong - Premium wedding service portal Darizi.com kicked off what is said to be Greater China's first luxury wedding fair on Saturday at Mandarin Oriental with Cartier as major sponsor.
Andy Ann, CEO and director of Darizi.com, said to capitalise on the growing demands for world class wedding related offerings in Greater China, the portal is proud to be the strategic partner of Mandarin Oriental, Hong Kong to put together the first ever luxury wedding fair with the full support of Cartier.
"In fact, these internationally renowned brands have created a new segment in the affluent Chinese wedding market for whom only the best of the best will be desired for on their big day," Ann added.
According to statistics from China's civil affairs office for the wedding services industry in China for 2007, industry revenue and value added will reach US$10 billion and $4.2 billion respectively.
Ann said the interactive wedding portal is based on four revenue models - online e-commerce, print magazine, events and exhibition including a TV channel in China in the near future.
He revealed darizi.com is currently under aggressive expansion in top tier cities such as Shanghai, Beijing, Guangzhou and Chengdu targeting the top 5% of the 8.5 million couples who will spend emotionally for this "once in a lifetime spending habit".
Established in September 2007, the Chinese language interactive wedding service portal has 30, 000 unique visitors with over 2 million page views per month and a membership of 15,000 spread fairly between 60% female and 40% male.
Ann explained the vertical portal is able to attract a wide range of premium brands online as the company is not just offering ad banners but an integrated platform that provides flexibility for brands to launch campaigns both online and offline to ultimately drive sales.
