US - Three of Yahoo's top executives have allegedly left the company in a gesture of protest against CEO Jerry Yang, following the resignation of four Yahoo executives earlier this month.
The exodus of top managers is a challenge for Yahoo as Yang attempts to put down a shareholder revolt and convince his critics that he was right to reject a US$47.5 billion (S$65 billion) acquisition bid from Microsoft.
According to the Associated Press, the three executives who reportedly resigned were Qi Lu, vice president in search and advertising technology, Vish Makhijani, vice president in search, and Brad Garlinghouse, senior vice-president in communications tools.
Despite the mass departure, the company remains positive. "Yahoo continues to be a leader in our industry and remains a unique, exciting and important place to work even as we experience the attrition that's to be expected in the Internet industry," the firm's spokesperson said.
