Kumar to head UM

Malaysia - Prashant Kumar has been appointed to head Universal McCann's (UM) Malaysia operations following CEO Gaurav Bhasin's relocation to Singapore earlier this year.
A UM spokesperson confirmed the appointment and said a press release would be issued next week. Kumar was previously the agency's regional head of communications planning.
Marketing reported on Bhasin's new role as UM's CEO for Singapore in January when the agency announced SVP and deputy regional director for UM, Jonathan Thurlow, would leave his post after a decade with the agency in Singapore.
